Pre Opening

I arrived at around 8:00 am to find a long line waiting for "day of" signups. Unfortunately ,we reached our membership cap on hour into signing people up, which meant that a fair amount of people had to be turned away. There was also a line for Pre-registered people to pick up their badges.

The registration crew gets geared up to process the long line of folks that showed up The morning of the convention.
The line stretched back all the way to the artist's alley.
the line for the pre-registered was pretty decent as well.
From the back of the registration line.
I'm not sure if these folks were pre-registered attendees, or just people at the hotel.
The registration desk in motion. Brian (the staffer crouching) was working as fast as he possibly could. Christi and assorted volunteers were packing additional con bags in order to get them all finished.
The pre-registration was a lot less chaotic. Your name was checked off on the list, and you got your badge.
Brian scribbling out a receipt.
The stuffers were going full tilt.
We had a minor problem with the signage initally, but we got it corrected.
