Hermes was a rescue by his previous owner back in 2009, and I first met him in 2012 when his previous owner moved in with us. Since then, I was given permanent ownership of him and his sister back in 2016 or 2017 as his former owner moved around.

He had a rough life; He was absolutely the runt of his litter, and like a lot of short humans, that resulted in a very outspoken and assertive personality. Tiny Cat, LOUD MAO, and he was absolutely vocal (and opinionated!) about things. He did not like being held, and was not afraid to use his talons to let you know that. He also like meeting new people, but not as enthusiastically as the others in the clowder; he would come out during meetings, say his greetings, and disappear back into one of the rooms.

He also did not like change, probably from being moved from house to house multiple times. This was made evident as I have a habit of moving furniture around in my work room / office; I'd either get barf on the floors, barf on the bed, or the occasional poop on the floor. He had moved out in 2015 with his previous owner, and then came back a couple years later as his previous owner has changed apartments a couple times, and that time ended up being permanent. His temperament mellowed out a small amount, but he was an old grouch, and he was not afraid to let everyone know it.
