THis was sadly a real thing, and a lesson in why you dont force the IT help desk to create a ticket for every single random caller, even if its not IT related.
So, our little group in the ticket dispatching area decided to make a pretty good example of this stupid rule. Most of us joined in, along with a couple of the IT people at the company we were contracted to. We all got talked at for it, but it served its purpose and some rules got changed.
